This is Ølen Betong
Ølen Betong AS was established in 1974 as a cooperation company between Berge Cementstøperi and Sunnhordland Støperi og Bygg. Both had traditions going back to around 1950 for production of various concrete products.
Ølen Betong AS is now one of the biggest concrete and concrete product manufacturers in the country. The sister company Ølen Betong Transport AS is responsible for the logistics solutions in the Ølen Betong Group. The company operates the fleet of about 200 vehicles.
The entire group has an annual turnover of about NOK 700-900 million and a total of 250 employees.
The company is organised in three product departments:
- Ready-mix concrete
- Concrete products
- Precast concrete elements for transport and communication as well as building sectors
Ølen Betong AS set up a subsidiary in Murmansk, North Russia, in 2007. The following year the company was able to open a concrete mixing plant, a concrete unit factory and workshop on their own industrial premises just outside the city.
There are two concrete mixing plants on the site in Murmansk which are able to produce various types of approved and certified concrete in accordance with Russian standards. One of the mixing plant has an effective 2-axel BHS mixer with max. capacity close up to 4,0 m3.The maximum theoretical output of the plant is 120 m3/hour.
Concrete elements factory is equipped with all necessary machines and tools for production of wall elements, slabs and concrete blocks. There are big areas for storage of ready products at site. Ølen Betong in Murmansk can produce elements in accordance with customers’ individual specifications.
Workshop has different equipment for repair and service of heavy machines like mixer-trucks, wheel loader, excavators as well as the crushing and screening equipment.
Ølen Betong in Murmansk has own source of raw materials for production of concrete. The company’s sand-pit has modern crashing and screening lines as well as trucks for transportation of sand and gravel to the stocks or to customers.
Ølen Betong Murmansk has currently about 25 employees.
